International Women’s Day is just around the corner, a time to reflect, learn, and continue building a more equal world. At Kokoro Kids, this commitment is part of our everyday mission: we believe that education and play are key tools to break stereotypes from an early age. That’s why we created the downloadable game “Timeline of Inspiring Women”. Keep reading to learn more!

Accessible Technology

At Kokoro, we work to make technology an inclusive space where girls and boys feel equally capable of exploring, creating, and learning. After conducting extensive research, we noticed that our app is used more by girls than boys—something that challenges the traditional stereotype that associates technology mainly with boys. This motivates us to continue designing experiences that strengthen girls’ confidence in skills such as logic, creativity, and problem-solving.

At Kokoro, we avoid labels like “girls’ games” or “boys’ games.” Instead, we provide an environment where everyone can freely choose according to their interests.

Even so, we’ve observed some interesting trends:

  • Among our female users, games like Car Jam or Mice and Coding, which combine strategy, logical thinking, and creativity, are especially popular.
  • Among our male users, Supermarket, a game more focused on simulation and organization, stands out.

Far from reinforcing stereotypes, these insights help us better understand children’s interests and continue offering diverse experiences that encourage exploring new areas.

Kokoro Kids offers a safe and enriching environment with over 200 educational games designed to support children’s development in a fun and meaningful way. Our platform is organized into six key learning areas, ranging from cognitive skills and language to creativity, logic, and emotional development.

Additionally, our premium features allow for a personalized experience, adapting content to each child and providing progress tracking. All of this is designed so that every child can advance at their own pace, exploring their interests without limits or biases.

Female role models that inspire: Timeline of inspiring women game

We know you can’t be what you don’t see. That’s why Kokoro incorporates female role models into our content, showing children examples of women who have changed the world in various fields. One of our most special games is Timeline of Inspiring Women.

Throughout history, women have been pioneers in scientific breakthroughs, discoveries, and achievements that have changed the world. Yet many of them have been overlooked or underrecognized. This educational game is designed for children to discover these key figures while developing logical thinking and the ability to organize events on a timeline.

Through this dynamic card game, participants must correctly place historical milestones led by women in chronological order. With each round, they not only learn about inventors, scientists, artists, and leaders who left their mark but also develop skills such as observation, memory, and reasoning. A fun and enriching challenge that reminds us that history is also written by women.

Teaching equality through play

Change begins in childhood. When girls grow up feeling they can become programmers, scientists, or inventors, and boys learn to value equality and diversity, we are building a better future.

At Kokoro Kids, we believe small changes create big impacts. Embracing inclusive technology, highlighting female role models, and offering stereotype-free experiences not only transform the way children play but also how they imagine their future. This International Women’s Day, we reaffirm our commitment to continue creating a space where every girl can explore, learn, and grow, knowing there are no limits to what she can become.

At Kokoro Kids, we continue working every day to ensure that every child can develop their potential without limits or labels.
